The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and cozy, though just okay otherwise. I could hear traffic from the road because the windows aren't double-glazed, which bothered me as a light sleeper 😅. The staff were really friendly and tried hard to help despite not speaking much English. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. I was there on a business trip, but the location was so lovely that I'd like to come back in my own time.

We liked it enough to think about returning. There’s free, plentiful parking, and the breakfast room is welcoming, with a good traditional German spread of bread, jams, and cold cuts. Our room was in the amusing-looking original building across the road from reception. It had lots of charm and was quiet, apart from hearing other guests leave in the morning. We arrived without booking and found a room. A few small things could be better: the bed was very soft, the bathroom had little shelf space, and WiFi was weak at the end of the hall. The receptionist quoted us a slightly lower price when we arrived than we paid in the end, a difference of 7 euros, and didn't mention the city's hotel tax. It was a bit too chilly for us to enjoy a bottle of wine on the terrace.

A generous-sized room and a good breakfast helped make up for the odd combination of buildings: a vintage villa, a concrete bunker, and a guesthouse farther down the road. Breakfast was in a dungeon.

The thermal baths and town centre are only about 8 min away. The lounge is nicely designed, the room was big, and the service was kind. Breakfast was super.

From outside it looks awful, but don't judge it by the cover. Inside it's lovely, stylish and really relaxed. The staff are super, and breakfast was great xx
