G.O.D. Ferienwohnung

We stayed in the ground-floor holiday apartment behind the main entrance. Some of these drawbacks may matter more to one person than another, but I wanted to list what I noticed. It stayed pleasantly cool in hot weather, the beds were comfortable, and the city center was just a short walk away. There was a large TV, roller shutters, and a towel for each guest for showering and handwashing. There were a lot of stairs to reach the house, as with all the apartments in the building. The place could be noisy, though it was quiet at night, and the terrace was small. The kitchen was also small and lacked quite a few basics, including frying oil, spices, paper towels, egg cups, small fruit knives, a chopping board, and a trash can. The cupboard above the refrigerator where the pots were kept had food scraps in it. There was no freezer or oven, and storage space throughout the apartment was very limited. Free parking is available on Wachbacher Straße near the district office, but the curb is so high that getting a normal car up it is almost impossible. The bathroom sometimes smelled of exhaust fumes. There were no small shampoo bars like in a hotel, and no bath mats. I saw lots of spiders, though they stayed put. My sheet was a little dirty at the foot of the bed. There was mold in the shower grout and small mold spots on the ceiling.
