Gastehaus Schreier

I stayed here twice and found the rooms without any trouble both times. On my first visit, I arrived quite late and there was nobody at the old reception, which may not even be in use. The room was spacious and clean, with a nice view from the second floor. The second time I came in the early evening; the door code they had sent me worked fine, and again no staff were around. I picked up my key easily from the box beside the room. This room was smaller but much more modern, and it still had a good view even though it was on the ground floor. I only booked one night, which was a shame. I could imagine staying in that room for a few days next time.

It’s affordable, but I don’t think it’s the best place and the price should be lower for a better rating. There was no WiFi, even though it was included and I had asked for it.

We had everything we needed in the comfortable room for a home away from home, and Monica was a great host. We didn’t need to speak with her after checking in. The location worked well for visiting other areas, with a pleasant short walk to beautiful Tegernsee. Gaestehaus Schreier was just right for our week in Bavaria, and we hope to stay again if we’re lucky enough to take another Bavarian vacation.
