Waldcaf Hotel Restaurant

After a 1,700-mile round trip from the UK, we spent three nights here as the starting point for riding the B500. It was spotless, the food was 100%, and the chef and team were right on the mark. Anyone leaving a one-star review clearly hasn’t worked in hospitality. We’ll be back for sure. 🏍🏁🍺

The setting is lovely, quiet, and tucked into the woods, and the food was very tasty. That’s what the star is for. But this was my second try, and both visits had the same problem, even with a different server. She smiled, but it felt forced, and she seemed annoyed whenever we ordered. We were a large group and left a lot of money, plus a generous tip, but her manner didn’t change before we left. It spoiled the whole experience. No, thank you, never again.

We arrived in the late afternoon and had some kuchen, served with great hospitality. The staff were friendly and helpful, and dinner at the restaurant was just perfect. The hotel sits in a calm, green area that’s an ideal starting point for hiking and walks.

We had a lovely view from this small hotel on the hills at the edge of Baden-Baden. The room was great, with comfortable beds and a large bathroom with a superb shower. There was also a balcony overlooking the gardens. Breakfast was very good, and parking was plentiful. It took about 30 minutes to walk into the town centre, and Google led us along some interesting back routes.
