Stoll's Hotel Alpina

We’ll come back as soon as we can get more PTO. The staff were incredibly friendly, breakfast was as good as it gets, and the amenities were great. There was even a little hedgehog hanging out in the garden. I’m not sure we’ve ever had a better hotel stay anywhere in the world.

The rooms are spacious, and there was plenty of hot water for showers. We had a car, but Berchtesgaden also has good bus service, and it’s included in the room price. The location is amazing, and breakfast is a terrific buffet with eggs, wurst, bread, cereal, a coffee machine, and fruit. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

It’s outside the center and away from Konigsee, but there’s a nearby bus that makes both easy to reach. The resort is quite large, with lots of facilities, all very well maintained. The rooms are spacious enough for two and decorated in Bavarian style. The service, rooms, and food were all so good, and the restaurant dishes were especially tasty.

The massage we had with the hotel’s masseur was wonderful and the highlight of our stay. Staff were welcoming and friendly, the property has plenty of parking, and everything is well kept. The hotel’s decor may not suit everyone. Our spacious room had lovely mountain views when the weather cooperated, though the doors don’t block sound and we could hear noise from the hallway. Seating can be limited during breakfast, but the staff do their best to accommodate everyone, and the coffee and food taste good.
