The owners have a cafe around the corner, and if breakfast is offered as an option, definitely take it. My trip was affordable and enjoyable, partly because I never ended up sharing with a roommate. It’s a bit of a hidden gem in Berlin, though there are some catches. There are four rooms: two are private, one with its own separate bathroom and one sharing a communal bathroom. The other two are shared hostel-style rooms, each with two bunk beds, so four beds.

The beds are extremely comfortable, and the place is clean. The rooms are a really good size too. Definitely recommend it.

😫😫😫😫😫😫 I can't give it fewer stars. I arrived late at night, tired and hoping to rest, but there was no sign on the building, no one waiting, and no information about what to do. They didn't answer when I tried to reach them. Two hours later, they called and said I needed to ring a particular doorbell and use a code. Was this supposed to be some kind of secret? I had booked this hotel, but I had no idea how to get in. I tried to complain afterward, but nothing came of it. I paid just to see the entrance door. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, and I hope others see this so they don't go through the same thing. 😫😫😫😫

WARNING: SCAM! We booked a stay that clearly included breakfast, but they told us in advance that it wasn't included. We were traveling with our two children, and in the end couldn't use the booking we'd already paid for. Check-in was impossible, and nobody replied to our calls or messages. We had to find another hotel at short notice. One star is too generous. We'll be getting our money back and contacting a lawyer to claim damages.
