Peace and quiet were the reason I booked this apartment for July 22nd to 29th after reading the earlier reviews, and they were right. It’s in a beautiful residential area, and Mr. Waldemar is very friendly. It rained one day and we were even given umbrellas. If you have a question, send a WhatsApp message and Waldemar gets back to you very quickly. There’s a Penny supermarket five minutes away on foot, and Rewe and DM are about ten minutes away. I preferred Rewe for its wider selection. You can take a scooter on the street, too. Tram M6 is within walking distance and goes straight to the famous Alexanderplaats. Alexanderplaats is lively in the evening, with music and delicious food. Tram M8 also runs at Rewe and can take you to Alexanderplaats. We bought a weekly public transport ticket for zones A and B, which costs €41.50 per person. I’d recommend it for a week in Berlin. The ticket office, BVG Kundenzentrum at Marzahner Promenade 1, is a 15-minute walk from the apartment. The apartment was spacious, warm, and comfortable. It had a hot tub/whirlpool that we didn’t use, a well-equipped kitchen with a washing machine, a sofa bed, and a double bed with a good mattress. There was also a fan and a lovely balcony. The warmth inside meant the fan could come in handy at night. The curtains stood out to me because they were spotless. I’ve seen yellow, smelly curtains in other apartments, so that was a huge plus! It’s a lovely apartment for exploring Berlin. On a scale from 0 to 10, where 0 is very poor and 10 is excellent, I’d rate the experience a 10.
