The location in Mitte is excellent, near U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations and Museum Island. Staff were professional and helpful, and the pillows and mattresses were comfortable, though the bedding was stained. There’s underground parking for €30 a day. The price felt like poor value. Wi-Fi kept cutting out, which is a serious problem for a hotel aimed at business travelers, especially since reviews have mentioned it for over a year. The rooms need major renovation and look poorly maintained: poor ventilation, limescale and mold in the bathroom, marks on carpets, duvets and walls, flickering lights, loose fixtures, dirt around the spotlights, and visible rubbish on the green roof outside the window, as shown in the photos.

We spent five days here in December with our two young kids. The pool was a hit, and the room was spotless. Breakfast was delicious each morning, with lots to choose from. The staff were so kind and friendly, and the location was excellent. A fabulous hotel.

Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and delicious. The rooms were roomy, clean and comfortable, and the hotel has all the usual amenities. It’s in a perfect spot in Berlin Mitte, with competitive prices and a lot of value for the money.

I’m writing this about a month after my stay, now that I’ve had some time to cool off and think it through. I was there for two nights, checking in on December 16 and leaving on December 18. I’d packed a new pair of warm black pants for the cold, but never wore them. I took them out of my suitcase and hung them neatly in the closet. Checkout was at noon. After sightseeing that morning, I came back, left in a bit of a rush, and caught an ICE train to Dresden. Once there, I realized I’d left the pants behind. I called the hotel right away with my dates and room number and asked whether housekeeping had reported finding anything. They said no. Since it was Christmas season, I figured everyone was busy and gave them the benefit of the doubt. They asked me to submit a request through the hotel’s web-based Lost & Found system, which was easy to use. The breakfast buffet was quite good, too. On December 19, I got an email saying they hadn’t found the item but would keep looking and contact me if it turned up. On December 23, the assistant housekeeper sent a final email saying they couldn’t find anything in the room and were really sorry. I still have no idea where the pants went. Maybe they were useful to someone else, disappeared during cleaning, or became a Christmas present from Santa Claus. They’d been bought just for this trip and were still unworn. I only had one other pair, the ones I was wearing, so I spent the next two weeks traveling in them. When something left in a guest room disappears after checkout and cleaning without a trace, it raises questions. If you want peace of mind about your belongings, I’d be especially careful at this hotel.
