Getting around was easy, with the U7 a minute away, other U and S lines within a ten-minute walk, and buses nearby. The city centre took around 40 minutes. The area seemed a bit sketchy at first, especially the park across the street, but several families live nearby and nothing dangerous happened during our stay. It's a simple neighborhood, with lots of food options and grocery stores close by. The apartment was clean and tidy when we arrived. During our week there, a cleaner came once and took out the trash, which was nice but unexpected. Some promised items were missing, including salt, pepper, and laundry detergent, and the TVs didn't work, so we bought those things ourselves. At first, being on the ground floor and entering through the inner yard felt a little uncomfortable. Residents keep their bikes by the apartment door and windows, with trash bins behind them, so there's daily noise and movement. We also felt we had to keep our own noise down. That's something to bear in mind if you're easily distracted or uneasy with people nearby. Safety wasn't a concern: the doors need a key from outside and the windows have bars. The apartment door, especially the old wooden yard door, was hard to unlock. Its handle and lock felt unstable, and we worried we'd never figure it out. You have to pull the doors toward yourself and turn the keys all the way to one side or the other. The yard door handle or lock really should be replaced with something sturdier. The landlord sent helpful automatic messages, though some information was unclear. Ask questions directly: they responded fairly quickly, respectfully, and explained things in detail, including how to get the keys. Finding the key box was easy because the photos showed exactly where it was. The downside is that you can only reach them through the bookingm.com app, with no phone number or email, which would be a big problem in an emergency. We had a pretty pleasant and convenient stay once we got used to these things. I'd recommend the apartment only if you're comfortable with the details above.

The apartment hadn't been cleaned when we finally got inside. The beds hadn't been changed, the towels were dirty, there was dirt on the floor, toothpaste and hair in the sink, and poop in the toilet. We went to stay somewhere else because it was already early evening and the host still wasn't responding. We tried to get our money back, but again got no response. Getting in was a mess from the start. We spent over an hour and a half searching for the keys, which the instructions said would be in a key safe across the street. We checked the whole street without finding it. The host was barely reachable. After a long search and several messages, they sent photos with more clues, but we spent another half hour looking before finding the safe. It was malfunctioning, and took another half hour of fiddling before it opened. Then we had to search for the right apartment. Residents of the complex eventually pointed us in the right direction, sighing as they did. Very bad host, doesn't deserve even one star.

The worst part was the sofa bed, which was extremely worn out and not suitable for sleeping. The upholstered furniture was stained and damaged, and some electrical wiring seemed life-threatening: as shown in the pictures, the frames around the sockets were broken and live parts were exposed. We booked for three people over Easter, but were surprised on arrival because the furniture and other details didn't match the listing photos. There weren't enough sheets for three, despite our booking, and other basic items were missing or only provided for two people at most. We tried repeatedly to contact the host and only got a reply days later. Desperate, we bought the missing items ourselves and asked for a refund, but got nothing beyond empty promises. We booked through Booking.com and hoped they'd help. Their curt response was that the provider wasn't replying, so they couldn't do more. They didn't answer my question about whether they could remove the provider from their list. Very disappointing, with no communication.
