For four people, room 009 was really just one room with four sleeping spots, despite the photos and description suggesting two separate rooms. It was clean and mostly well equipped, but somewhat noisy, and the sofa bed was especially uncomfortable. The price seemed high for what we got. I wouldn’t recommend it for a family or group, though it could work for two people.

The traffic comes right through the windows since the rooms face the main street. With a recycling center next door and trucks going past from 5 a.m., getting any sleep or rest feels impossible. This was the worst place I’ve stayed in Berlin, it felt like torture.

The bathroom was fine and the location is nearly perfect, but the Ressel apartment needs an update: fresh paint, new curtains, and especially new mattresses. The kitchen is a bit of a joke, with worn-out utensils and very little space. We got only one set of keys instead of the usual two, even though we’d stayed three times before. Staff promised the extra set several times, but it never arrived during our week there. The TV setup didn’t work either, even though we didn’t really need it.

The bed was comfortable, the shower was great, and it stayed pretty quiet at night. My boyfriend and I had a lovely time in this comfortable little apartment. It has a fridge, stove, coffee machine, and microwave, which was handy for keeping breakfast costs down. There are supermarkets close by, including Rewe and the fully vegan veganz, about a four-minute walk away. Mauerpark is also an easy walk, with its flea market on Sundays. A few S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations are nearby, so getting around to see the city was easy. There’s a TV with Netflix and YouTube, too. We were both really happy with the stay and will use Prime Flats next time we’re in Berlin.
