The quiet made it easy to sleep well, and breakfast was included, healthy, and reliable. The building has lovely period details and the plumbing worked well. It’s a simple, traditional place in a safe neighborhood with great transport links and good value. I’d rather stay here and keep more of my money for Berlin’s amazing food and attractions than pay for a fancy luxury hotel.

The bathroom fan wasn’t working, but that was the only issue. We were greeted warmly in this century old building, with its carpets, large armchairs, and Christmas tree. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I thought the place was lovely.

Breakfast was served in a cozy room, with a continental style spread. I had to leave early for a business appointment, and they were happy to serve breakfast a little earlier. The staff were friendly and got me everything I asked for. My room was spacious, clean, and had its own bathroom, with the basics like a hairdryer, Cable tv, one closet, and towels. It’s a really cozy, old-fashioned Bed&Breakfast in a building from another century, so don’t expect anything modern. That old character is part of its charm.

The beds are comfortable, and the building details are what I love most: high ceilings, a beautifully carved ram’s head on the front door, and a striking staircase. There’s a lift too. It feels cute and old-fashioned, without being prissy. If you’re looking for a chain hotel experience, this probably isn’t your place.
