Renaissance Bochum Hotel

Moxy Bochum is very central and a lovely, clean hotel, but the rooms have no place to store clothes, which is odd. I was there for a tournament, and most of the team were fantastic, including the helpful F&B manager. The two Italian pizza maestros made amazing pizza. A special shout-out to Venturo at reception, Mr Spain himself, who was always smiling and sorted things out without a fuss. One of the other front desk staff members wasn't great. Please smile and help people who leave their keycard in the room, whether they're adults or teenagers. You're not paying for the keycard, and the hotel is being paid handsomely for having us. PLS BE LIKE Venturo. I'd recommend the hotel, but some staff need to learn to smile. It's not hard.

We travel with our son and always choose Marriott properties, since the service, rooms, and atmosphere tend to exceed expectations. Our stay at Moxy Bochum was one of the highlights of this trip, even with the busy weekend crowds for Valentine's Day and a Schalke 04 game. The team made us feel at home. Noel, Huma, and Andy were especially thoughtful and warm. When our son got chilly, they quickly brought an extra blanket. Noel and Andy also suggested soothing drinks for my fiancé's upset stomach, and handled all our requests kindly and efficiently. Their care made a potentially hectic stay feel welcoming and memorable. Please pass along our thanks to Noel, Huma, and Andy so the company knows how well they looked after us. The Moxy has a lovely outdoor space for eating and drinking, plus a roomy indoor bar and restaurant. We stayed two nights while visiting Bochum for a football match. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from Bochum HBF and the city center, right beside the VFL Bochum stadium, Vonovia Ruhrstadion, and next to the Starlight Express theatre for anyone coming to see the famous show. The staff were welcoming and very friendly, especially Noel and Jess. Their work ethic was excellent, and they were kind, generous, and down to earth. It was a pleasure meeting and talking with them. I'd highly recommend The Moxy and hope to stay again.

We've stayed here several times for business and have always had a great experience. The location is very convenient, the rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is great, and every staff member provided excellent service.
