The room itself was perfect and very clean. But the receptionist gave us a room number that doesn't exist. I forgot to get the male staff member's name. If the cleaning staff hadn't helped, we could have spent hours looking for the room. I think the receptionist wrote the number wrong deliberately. Our room was actually 320; he wrote 390. ???**

I reported this to the hotel after feeling I was treated in a racist way. The woman looked German to me. When I first said hi, she kept typing without looking at me and told me to wait because she was busy. Please check the CCTV. The service felt completely unfriendly. She stayed at the computer by herself while a new staff member stood behind her, and she didn't train him or speak with him. Then a man came to the counter, and she stopped typing straight away to serve him, even though I'd arrived first. She barely looked at me. After he left, she seemed to have no choice but to deal with me. She checked my booking but hadn't finished when another man interrupted. She stopped helping me while I kept waiting for my room card. She treated both men well, then came back to me looking annoyed. She didn't pay attention to my booking and said my room was on the first floor, but wrote room 333 on the card. I asked several times if that was really on the first floor. She said yes and kept looking upset with me. It was the wrong floor, 333 is on the third. If she was busy training someone, that doesn't explain her reaction and everything else that happened. Why did she treat those two men so well, but seem so upset with me and act like she was trying to refuse my stay?

The room was basic but okay, and the breakfast buffet was basic too, though sufficient. There was a strange gate to get to it. It's a good Ibis budget hotel opposite the railway station, with reception up on the sixth floor.

I spent a week here in May 2025 for a conference. The location makes it easy to get around quickly by transit, and the staff were helpful. My room was clean, and breakfast had a very good range of food and drinks. Nobody will go hungry. Just pay attention to your surroundings when walking outside in the area.
