The restaurant and breakfast staff were kind and professional, and the hotel is very conveniently placed right in the center of Chemnitz. But housekeeping was completely unacceptable during our four-day stay. The towels and bed sheets were never changed, and the floor wasn’t cleaned once. It felt as though the room had been ignored the whole time, and that lack of basic care seriously affected our stay.

Good breakfast and comfortable rooms. The hotel is very well located in the city center, close to restaurants and the shopping area, and there’s a parking lot.

The breakfast was nice, and the room and bathroom were an adequate size. The hotel’s central location is great, with shops and restaurants nearby. Rooms at the front have great views, but face west, so sunshine and heat can turn them into a sauna in the afternoon. That’s what happened when I arrived. There’s no air conditioning, so you can only try opening the windows and perhaps putting on the fan. The shower is very basic: there’s no actual shower plate, a partition on just one side, and no curtain. You have to be careful not to splash, or the whole bathroom floor gets wet.

The rooms are good, and breakfast has a pretty nice range of choices. Inside, the hotel is quite good, and I’d book again. Finding the parking is very difficult, though. If you’re staying here, the hotel parking is on the first floor of Johannesplatz.

You’re right in the heart of the downtown shopping area, with lots of restaurants to choose from and the wonderful Archeology Museum just around the corner. The rooms are large, clean and nice, though service is minimal. It feels like an urban business hotel. Parking is confusing and on-site spaces are limited, but there are several large garages within a block or two.
