At 66€ a night, it was very good value. The room was large, everything seemed clean, the beds were comfortable standard hotel beds, and the windows opened all the way. Self check-in was easy, and the hotel seemed eco-friendly, with no plastic and recycled paper. The sink leaked onto the floor after each use, probably something specific to this room that maintenance should fix. Light sleepers should know the hall door doesn’t block sound: I could hear guests talking, the elevator, and housekeeping moving around, so sleeping in wasn’t possible. The bathroom’s large glass window can be frosted for privacy, but my husband showered in the dark so the light wouldn’t wake me. The bathroom radiator also kept flashing, which was visible and a bit annoying while trying to sleep. I’d probably stay again.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at Konsept International. We’d originally booked two days at the Premier Inn Köln Süd hotel next door, but had one day left without a room. The Premier Inn was very cold and offered poor service, and they weren’t solution-oriented. We found Konsept International Hotel ourselves, and we’re glad we did. The digital check-in and check-out worked great, the rooms were clean, and they had a kind, understanding attitude toward guests. For our March trip to Cologne, we immediately booked Konsept Hotel Zum Kostbaren Blut, which is closer to the centre. Thanks for everything. I recommend it to everyone.

We booked this for the Christmas markets, and the location was perfect. The hotel was very clean, and when we had time to spare before our flight, they let us store our luggage somewhere secure. I don’t understand why its rating is low when it’s this good. Thank you.

It’s only a ten-minute underground ride back to the train station. The room was great, but the bathroom’s see-through glass wall felt really strange. You can switch it to frosted, but it still seemed odd. Check-in was a little confusing, though maybe we were just tired. Breakfast is expensive and not especially exciting, so I’d go to a cafe instead.

It worked well enough for one quick night, but I wouldn’t hurry back. We’d booked a deluxe double room and were given a large room with disabled access instead. When we asked about it, they said nothing else was available and told us to take it up with Expedia. The location was okay, about a 20-minute walk to the Christmas markets, though that’s something to consider in cold weather.
