Residenz Alte Liebe

We felt very at home at the Alte Liebe residence and plan to come back. Apartment RA 308 was spacious and clean, and the whole complex was spotlessly kept. We also got a warm welcome when we arrived. Highly recommend it.

The view from the balcony over the Alte Liebe and the Hamburg lighthouse was the best part. We could watch ships without even going out. The apartment itself was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. Even a dishcloth, tea towel, two dishwasher tablets, and a small shopping bag were provided. We first booked RA309 for four people, but after a death in the family we could easily switch to the smaller RA103. Many thanks to Hamer Touristik for making that simple. Their office is in the building, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The bedroom wardrobe had plenty of space, the beds were made up, and the mattresses suited us perfectly, though that can be a personal thing. The bathroom was a good size, with two sinks and lots of storage. The internet worked reliably, too. It was a wonderful few days for us.

We've stayed twice already, and we're planning another visit. It's a comfortable, well-equipped apartment with a fantastic outlook over the Elbe and North Sea.

Watching the ships from apartment 201 is wonderful, with a lovely view of the Elbe estuary. Just be ready for their foghorns as they pass Cuxhaven. They can give you quite a start if you're asleep!
