The service was top notch, and the Bavarian-style food was great. I tried schnitzel at several places around Bavaria, and this was the best meal I had in Germany.

The setting was lovely, and the service was very good, with really kind staff. The food was mostly average, nothing especially memorable. The ravioli with fig tasted good, though there was a lot of sauce and it was a little weak. The duck was quite dry, and the dessert selection didn’t stand out either. We had two starters, two main dishes, a shared dessert, and a plate for the child for 85€. Given the experience, an average above four stars seems a bit much.

The kitchen is absolutely amazing, especially for takeaway. Everything was double packed to stay warm, and it came in elegant takeaway dishes that still made it feel like we were dining out at home.

I went back the next day, which says plenty. The baked potato with sour cream was delicious, and the iced coffee is something else, definitely worth trying. I ate here while supporting my husband at Challenge Roth. They also have an English menu option, which made ordering much easier.

The restaurant was a highlight, and the owners made the experience amazing. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend both the restaurant and hotel to anyone visiting near Munich.
