The restaurant serves tasty, solid food at a good price, from burgers to seasonal regional dishes. The place sits out in nature, with a lake where you can rent boats and a playground for children. It's a bit outside of Darmstadt, which makes finding parking easy. I highly recommend it, especially in spring and summer when you can sit outside in the Biergarden.

The staff were really friendly, and we enjoyed the room, restaurant, and views. In summer you can spend the evening dining in the gardens, and there’s plenty to do around the lake: boating, mini golf, walking, running, cycling, and swimming if it’s allowed. It could work for a wedding reception, though there are only 8 rooms, so some guests might need to stay elsewhere. Shame we can’t say the same about booking con.

This traditional restaurant has lasted for a reason. The food is great and the prices are good.

Even with the restaurant extremely busy, the staff were kind and polite. I had a nice lunch with my husband, and we both enjoyed the tarte flambe and spargel soup. There’s a lovely atmosphere and plenty of vegetarian choices.
