Moods Hotel Dortmund

The neighborhood is peaceful and pleasant, and public transport is only a short walk away, so getting around the city was easy. The rooms are quite small, but exceptionally clean and comfortable, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. I really appreciated how spotless the bathroom was. It’s a charming hotel and a great base close to the main attractions. I’d definitely stay again.

The staff were very kind, and the place was very clean. Great location too, and the coffee at the bar was great. :)

At checkout, I greeted Brigitta while she was talking with other guests and planned to wait my turn. She suddenly got angry and gestured that she was busy. I told her I could see that and wasn’t in a rush. Even the guests seemed surprised by her reaction. I asked the other receptionist to call a taxi, and she said it would take 10 to 15 minutes. I went for a coffee behind reception. When I came back, I waited another 10 minutes and nothing had happened. I asked Brigitta about the taxi, and she said the driver had been there 10 minutes earlier and left. I asked why she hadn’t waved to let me know. She shouted that it was my fault and not her job. I was the only one waiting for the taxi and was now going to be late for work, but she didn’t care. One of the worst service experiences I’ve had at a hotel.

I didn’t have breakfast since it cost an extra €15 per day. The room and bed were comfortable, and the shower was nice. It’s a pleasant, quiet hotel with an S-Bahn stop nearby, making it easy to get into the city. There were also good places to eat within a 10-15 minute walk.
