Backstage Hotel

I left after one night and had to pay for another hotel in Dresden. The next morning, there was blood all over my bed. I believe bedbugs or ticks had bitten me during the night, and I no longer felt safe enough to stay the second night. Two weeks later, the hotel still hadn’t responded, and hotels.com was refusing a refund because the hotel wouldn’t reply. I stay with them all the time, so I can’t believe this happened and then the refund wasn’t processed. Horrible. When I first arrived, staff sent me to a room with a key. I opened the door and found someone already staying there. I’d been given a key that opened an occupied room, which was unsafe for both of us.

The design is funky, and the view is really nice. It’s easy to find, in a perfect spot in Neustadt, within walking distance of bars, restaurants, the old town, and the river.

The rooms were clean, but the decor felt weird and old-fashioned, and the place itself seemed quite old. It wasn’t the worst, but I’m sure you can find better accommodation in Dresden.

The location is great for visiting neustadt, and parking is okay. The room was okay too, but the bed and breakfast weren’t. The reception staff were absolutely not okay.
