Air Hotel Wartburg

The breakfast was generous, and I loved the fresh butter machine. There's also a small, friendly bar on site with a good choice of drinks, just a few steps from the airport shuttle bus. This was another fantastic stay at Air Hotel, which is perfectly placed for a Dusseldorf visit during Trade Fair season. I had a large double room with its own balcony and fantastic bedding, and slept better than I have in ages. One tip: during Boot and other busy periods, book dinner at one of the excellent local restaurants.

We planned to stay for two nights, but left the next morning. The rooms looked completely different from the photos, and when we complained through our travel agency, they said every room was the same and wouldn't refund us. Breakfast was a joke too, just bread and an omelette. Terrible, wouldn't recommend it.

A really cool place close to the airport, with very nice recreation and polite people.

The room was clean, breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly. It's also a short distance from the airport and exhibition halls. There isn't a lobby area to wait in apart from a small bar, and the back building has no lift. The shower cabin was tiny and awkward to get in and out of. Worst of all, on a windy night there was a very disturbing metallic noise, perhaps from the roof or the outside metal walkways. I couldn't sleep properly. That's not acceptable in a hotel where guests come to sleep.
