Atomis Hotel Düsseldorf City

The location made it easy to get to restaurants and supermarkets, and we could walk to the Rhine, the old town, and Little Tokyo. We stayed three nights in Hotel Petersburg, in a first-floor corner unit. The room was spacious and clean, with a mini fridge, electric kettle, and two cups. The bathroom's shower stall was small, but there was lots of counter space, a hair dryer, quick hot water, and a nice shower head. The radiator heaters worked very well. We heard a little noise from upstairs, though it was brief and muted. Service was quick and helpful. A very comfortable stay, and we'd stay again. Highly recommend it!

I spent six nights here, and the cold in my room made the stay miserable. The heating system never worked properly, even during freezing nights. I reported it to reception several times and got apologies, but no solution. When I asked for a portable electric heater, they said none were available. The receptionist's response when I said the room was freezing was to casually suggest I stay in the lobby. I was shocked by the lack of empathy. I started feeling sick from the cold, developed a serious cold by the third day, and felt worse as the stay went on. My time in Düsseldorf was ruined, and I still haven't fully recovered from the illness I caught there. The lack of a working heater and the response to my requests showed no regard for guests' comfort or well-being. I deeply regret choosing this hotel and strongly advise finding somewhere else to stay in Düsseldorf.

The room was spotless, sunny, and a great size, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the location, plus the free travel card for the whole stay was a nice bonus. The hotel was so cheap that I hadn't expected much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Great hotel!

The free transportation card was a really nice perk. The hotel feels decent overall, though it definitely needs some work. I'd give it three stars in a Google review, but I wouldn't call it a proper three-star hotel.
