The hosts were the friendliest people we met in Düsseldorf. There’s no staffed front desk, and the host on site spoke little German or English, so we had a bit of a language barrier, but managed fine. We stayed Friday evening to Sunday morning for the Kristkindlmarkt. Hotel "Am Ehrenhof" was affordable and close to the Aldstadt / city center. Breakfast costs extra, €9 per person for us, and was good: very fresh bread, charcuterie, yogurt and breakfast grains. There wasn’t a full continental spread, which suited us. Despite what Booking.com may say, the hotel doesn’t have its own parking. A few garages are nearby. B+B Parking is closest, while Park One is about a 15-20 minute walk.
