Hotel Residenz Düsseldorf

The employees were nice, and the location was good. The rooms were what you’d expect from a decent hotel, nothing more, though having a mini fridge was a big plus. I’d recommend staying here as long as you’re not expecting a five-star hotel. Not much to complain about.

The room was disgustingly dirty, and the girl at the entrance could barely speak English or German. While we were inside, hotel staff opened our room door without knocking first. On Sunday morning there wasn’t even anyone around to hand the room key to. The hotel was a huge disappointment, the worst place I’ve ever stayed.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s also really convenient, just a short walk from the train station. I’d highly recommend staying here.

I’ve stayed here twice now, and for the price it’s pretty reasonable. We got clean sheets and towels, the staff were friendly, and they let us leave our luggage after checkout while we waited for our evening train. I don’t really understand the bad reviews. Someone wrote that it’s far from HBF, but it took me eight minutes to walk to the central train station. Maybe he walks very slowly or has trouble judging distances. It’s not a five-star all-inclusive hotel, but it’s really not bad. I’d even say it’s good.
