The helpful staff member seemed very inexperienced, but he was helpful, and they’d just changed staff when we visited. That was the good part. It’s a simple hotel in a convenient downtown location, but the place is quite run down and feels like it needs a good overhaul. The carpet was dirty, and laundry from other rooms was piled up here and there in the corridors. It also wasn’t accurate to the description.

It’s right in the centre, so getting out into the city is easy. The beds and breakfast were good, and the host was outstandingly friendly. Everything was very clean. Be sure to visit the 'kazematten' on the Rhine boulevard.

For clean, cheaper accommodation in the city centre, Hotel Minerva on Cantadorstraße, Düsseldorf is worth adding to your favourites. It isn’t the cheapest, but the rooms are clean and suit the wary traveller. There’s also a continental breakfast to get you going for a day in Düsseldorf. It’s very conveniently located near Pemplefort Straße, a mini hub for the U-Bahn, trams, and buses. You’re assured transport every 3 minutes to anywhere within the city.

The reception staff were kind, helpful, and easy to deal with. The hotel is close to the Central Station, and for what I paid, it was good value. I stayed the night of 16th November and left on 17th November 2019.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was both clean and roomy. The bathroom was especially spacious and modern. Good value for the money.
