It was a good stay overall: the location was quiet, the staff friendly, and WiFi and parking were free. Breakfast was standard. The carpet could use refreshing, and in the older section the wooden floorboards squeak, which might bother some people. WiFi inside may be better if you ask for a room closer to the router. Reception closes overnight, so keep your keys with you to use the side entrance.

The hotel is very nice and sits by Old City Kettwig. Getting to Essen centre is easy too.
