Across the street there's a grocery shop open around the clock, and the new Skyline Mall is only a short walk away. It has an amazing penthouse breakfast buffet on the roof. Still, the location by itself doesn't make this hotel worth staying in. The rooms are something else: shared bathrooms, very old thin blankets and towels. The TV goes through 45 porn channels before reaching three local channels, with no major nationwide or satellite channels.

The things that worked best were the generous parking and airport transfer. The hotel itself didn't feel particularly suited to pets or children, and somehow they'd registered my son as a pet, so there was no bed for him when we arrived. The beds left us with back pain, and the rooms felt cold in their decor, even though the bathrooms had disinfectant. The restaurant was just okay. Its brown wooden tables and chairs felt comfortable and cozy, but the yellow, orange, and red on the runners, doormats, and walls clashed badly and spoiled an otherwise good impression. It's on a street corner at an intersection, where passing traffic can be deafening at times. Thankfully, there are also some modern, eco-friendly electric cars and bicycles.

Right by the hotel there's a tram stop, and across the road you'll find a good, inexpensive Turkish bakery for a quick tasty bite. The biggest plus for me was having Russian-speaking staff at reception. The hotel is conveniently near the central railway station. Rooms have modest furnishings, but the essentials are there: a TV, clean bathroom, shampoo, napkins, disposable cups, towels, and a hairdryer. It's a democratic hotel.
