The shower was awkward to use because its fixed head points straight at the wall and can’t be adjusted, unless you’re quite tall. The pillows were just loose stuffing in pillowcases, flat and lumpy with no support. The room smelled strongly of old cigarette smoke, and the carpet looked dirty. Self check-in is advertised, but the necessary instructions often don’t arrive. Several guests said this happens a lot. We eventually reached the owner using an unpublished WhatsApp number another guest shared. He was dismissive and told us to call Expedia, even though we hadn’t booked through Expedia. For context, the worst night I’ve ever had was on a leaking, 60-year-old boat, with water dripping on our heads all night. This hotel ranks just above that. For a similar price, there are many cleaner, calmer, more considerate hotels in Frankfurt. I recommend staying somewhere else.

There are plenty of ways to get around, including bus, train, and trolley, though at night you have to walk at least 10 minutes. Check-in was easy, but the value for the cost isn’t great. My room had just one bed and was far too small, maybe only 2 square metres. It was clean, easy, and comfortable, but expensive for what I got.

The location is perfect, with Penny and an Apotheke just a few steps away. Everything was clean, especially the toilet. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back.

It’s in a very local neighborhood with plenty of good places to eat nearby, and parking is easy and free. The family running the hotel were very friendly, and the staff gave me great dinner recommendations. My room was spotless and had everything I needed for a comfortable night. Public transport stops right outside, making downtown easy to reach, and the airport is very close. Great price for a big city.
