Hotel West an der Bockenheimer Warte

I found the location hard to beat, near lots of public transport, Palmengarten, the university, and other sites. There's a large Rewe grocery store about 200 meters away, plus coffee shops and restaurants just steps from the hotel. My check-in was very quick, and the room facing the street was super quiet. The windows are good, and electric shutters block light and add more sound insulation at night, though the street itself is quiet. Everything was super clean and quiet, just what I needed for a quick Frankfurt trip. One thing to know: there's no lift, which could be difficult for anyone who struggles with stairs, but the person who checked me in offered to help with my bags.

I only stayed one night because I had to cut my trip short for further travel, but I'd consider coming back to Frankfurt and would recommend Hotel West. My double room deluxe had a private patio, and I was impressed by the thoughtful, upscale decor and the amenities. The location is a big plus, with restaurants, grocery stores, trains, and buses close by. Mr. Jörg himself served a delicious breakfast, and all the staff were super friendly. One thing to keep in mind in summer is that the room can get quite hot and humid. A portable cooler or dehumidifier, perhaps available on request or for a fee, would make the stay pretty much perfect.

We had a very happy couple of nights here with the family. The metro is close, and shops and restaurants are right outside, so the location suited us especially well. Our rooms were clean, modern, spacious, and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and made sure our stay went well. We'd certainly return.

It's a small, personal, family-run hotel with generous rooms and a nice location. If you're arriving on Ubahn U4 from the main station, use the rear exit. For a first arrival after 8pm, make arrangements in advance; after that, you have a card key.
