ibis budget Frankfurt City Ost

The bed was really comfortable, and the desk and chair worked fine for doing a bit of work. The room was fairly spacious and had the essentials, as you’d expect from a budget hotel. I did wish it had a small fridge, even an empty one for a bottle of water. The curtains in my room didn’t go all the way up, though I’m not sure whether that’s standard. The location is great, very close to OstBahnoff and about 10m to more central places. There isn’t much right nearby beyond a few restaurants and bars, a cafe, bakery, and organic grocery. Across the station there’s a supermarket and a farmacy, and the hotel is within walking distance of ECB. Reception is staffed 24*7, and the staff are very nice. They also sell some drinks, snacks, and amenities for when nearby stores are closed.

We found the area felt safe walking back from the tram stop at night, and the stop is right outside the hotel, with a direct ride to the main square. We were in Frankfurt for the Christmas Markets, so that made the location perfect for us. The room was clean and had what we needed for a short trip. We’re basic travellers and spend most of our time out, so I understand the rooms might not suit everyone. The woman who checked us in was fantastic and friendly, and got us in a little early since the room was ready. We usually choose Ibis because the price is reasonable and we know what to expect. As always, it was a great stay, and we’d come back if we’re in Frankfurt again.

We booked a double room with a large balcony, which was a nice extra and made the space feel bigger. The hotel is handy for trams and shops, and it’s a short walk to the river and city center. Our room was bright, clean, and comfortable, just right for a few nights. Check-in was easy and quick, and the staff were welcoming throughout. Great value and a good base for exploring Frankfurt.

The price felt reasonable for what the hotel offers, so it’s a good choice for a short Frankfurt stay. It’s close to public transport, though getting to the city center takes about a 30 minute walk. My room was clean and well maintained, and the staff were helpful and friendly during my stay.
