Hotel Schöne Aussicht

We paid 1050 euros for five nights, but were put in a room that wasn’t shown in the booking photos. That wasn’t even the worst part. We spent one night there, then tried to check out in the morning and get our money back. They refused. The photos and videos show the condition for yourself. Cooking utensils were kept with toilet cleaning chemicals. There were five dirty frying pans but not one bowl for oatmeal, and just one glass. The sponge was dirty, dust was everywhere, and many things were broken. The walls were dirty too.

The roof deck was lovely on Easter Sunday. We brought our own drinks and food, relaxed up there, and enjoyed the gorgeous view. Everyone was nice and helpful, and the rooms were clean with exactly what we needed.

I’m glad I didn’t book ahead, because I might have had nightmares if I’d stayed there. Before booking, I went to reception, but the older woman at the desk had a very bad attitude and was super unfriendly. She wasn’t helpful and didn’t assist with checking in. Maybe she was having a bad day.

The room was very clean, and the view over the Frankfurt skyline was wonderful. This is a nice, moderately priced hotel in the picturesque Bergen area. It has an okay restaurant on site, and I’d stay again. There’s no air conditioning, though they do provide a fan. It’s a bit of a walk to the U3 subway into the city, but I liked this hotel much more than the ones in Enkheim that are nearer the U3.
