Park Inn by Radisson Frankfurt Airport Hotel

There’s a Rewe nearby for essentials, but not many restaurants or other dining options within walking distance. The room itself felt dated, and I found the amenities limited, with no slippers provided. The hotel is about a five-minute walk through a nearby park to the S-Bahn station, then just one stop from the airport. Handy for a quick transit, though the room comfort and local options are limited.

We arrived late at night and told reception we had an early flight, before 6 am. There’s no airport shuttle, but the receptionist suggested the train, which starts at 4 am and runs every 15 minutes, and recommended picking up a breakfast bag before leaving. The room was neat and good for a short stay. Across the road, a nice French restaurant stayed open until 11 pm and had good food. We’d come from Munstur Railway to Frankfurt station, then took the local S8 or S9, just one stop to the hotel. It’s a 3-4 minute walk through a garden from the station.

Breakfast was tasty, and we could take extra coffee with us. As Radisson Reward members, we found both still and sparkling water and chocolate in the room, a nice touch. We were on the top floor and had a pleasant view over a park. Although the airport is on site, the building was well insulated, so we didn’t hear planes. The room was a reasonable size, clean and nice, with a wild light show. We arrived at 1.30 AM and were told there was an electric car charger in the hotel basement, but it only works for Teslas, so we couldn’t use it. The parking spaces downstairs were very tight, and our Mercedes EQE couldn’t get around. Don’t take a larger car into that basement.

The room had no drinks at all, not even water, only one very rough pillow, and too little body wash for two adults. The breakfast was okay, though it doesn’t start until 6:30 am. We arrived around 11 pm after a day of travel and were met by three unfriendly receptionists who barely acknowledged us. We’d booked a regular queen bed but were given twin beds. Reception first said they were fully booked and offered a bigger blanket; after we pushed back, they eventually changed it, maybe because a room became available while we were arguing. It was enough for one night, but very disappointing. We’d suggest another hotel in the same price range for better value. We stayed at Best Western on the return trip and found it much more refreshing.
