The Place Hotel Frankfurt City

We stayed at Plavce Hotel for two days while taking part in the CPHI Expo, but the accommodation fell short of what we expected. The room hadn’t been cleaned properly, and its layout was odd: the shower was separate from both the toilet and bedroom, something we’d never come across in central Frankfurt. We were first charged 8 euros by the hotel, then had to pay another 4 euros through Booking.com. Our company hadn’t been told about that in advance. The old iron we were given damaged one of our expensive shirts, which was especially disappointing on a work trip. Staff were polite, but the place felt more like a hostel than a hotel. We hope management improves cleanliness, room facilities and communication with guests.

The service here has been great every time I've stayed during business trips to Frankfurt. The room was comfortable, the staff were helpful, and getting around was easy with plenty of transport nearby. I'll happily come back.

I stayed for seven nights and it was a very good experience, despite the reviews that had worried me beforehand. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the desk staff were friendly and helpful. They made an effort to communicate with guests who didn't speak German, including me and some Spanish guests checking in. There can be some noise, since you can see the train station from the back of the hotel. The shower is a bit small, and there's no fridge in the room.

The mattresses and bed were filthy, with bedbugs, and we even found a milk carton under the bed. There was also a broken lamp. The place was disgusting, so we left for another hotel. The manager said our money would be refunded, but it never came.
