Zur Waldlust

We had everything we needed here. There's a fabulous bakery across the street for breakfast and a restaurant downstairs for the evening if you fancy it. The hotel is really clean, and the staff are lovely and friendly. It's a little off the beaten track, but buses, trams, or trains make getting to the centre easy.

I spent four nights at Zur Waldlust Hotel and would happily return. The room was very clean, and the owner and staff were wonderfully hospitable. It's just 150 meters from the S Bahn, two stops from Main station, with a bus stop only 10 meters away. There's also an on-site restaurant that usually opens in the evenings. Thanks for a great stay, I fully recommend it.

I missed my train and reached the hotel about four hours after my check-in time, around 02:30-03:00 at night. It was completely closed, and I couldn't even get into the building. I'd tried to contact them through booking at my check-in time but got no reply, and nobody could be reached when I arrived. I ended up waiting at the airport for my flight without sleeping. They also kept my prepaid money, saying they had the right to do so. If you're staying there, don't make my mistake: don't prepay and don't expect understanding or great hospitality. Thanks for the worst night of my holiday, dear hotel owner.

The location worked well for getting to a live show at Jahrhunderthalle. The reception staff were very friendly, and the hotel bar stayed open until the last customer was ready to leave.
