Black F Tower - Serviced Apartments

A grocery store and restaurants are an easy walk away, and the location worked well for our Black Forest visit. We could watch the sunset from the room, and getting in and out of the parking garage was easy. The room was perfect, with a comfortable bed and pillows. Everything in the kitchenette was sparkling clean, including the dishwasher, pots, pans, and dishes. It also had a toaster, kettle, coffee maker, and coffee pods. The whole place felt brand new and super clean. Really, really great stay.

We stayed four days in a Black Base M apartment while visiting family in Freiburg, and were pleasantly surprised by how clean, modern, and spacious it was. Tram line 2 connects well to the center and other neighborhoods. Walking to the center is possible, but takes around 40-60 minutes depending on where you're headed. I'd seen comments about the fridge being loud at night, and that's true, although it does stop for a while at some point. Aside from that, it was an amazing place to stay, and we'll definitely come back when we're in Freiburg.

It's much cheaper and better value than the local hotels. The apartments are well insulated, so we didn't need heating, and the AC worked well when it was warm. The fiber internet was reliable at around 600 Mbit/s. Parking costs €14 per day underground or €10 outside. I missed having an oven, getting fresh towels more often than once a week, and being able to refill the Nespresso tabs for free. They cost €10 for a pack of 10.

We've stayed here twice, and both visits were fantastic. The staff are super friendly, and the rooms are beautiful, with amazing views of the Black Forest. Tram number 2 gets you around in a few minutes, while the place still feels peaceful because it's a little away from the center. Perfect place to stay in Freiburg. We'll come back every time we're here. Almost certainly nowhere better to stay.
