KNAUS Campingpark Frickenhausen

This has been one of our favorite campsites for a long time. There's a pleasant bar on site, and the swimming pool is great in summer. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Pitches come with grass or hard standing, and there are plenty of shady trees. Each pair of pitches shares an electricity post, and water is quite close by. The toilets and showers are very good, with hot water and adjustable shower heads.

The food at the restaurant was delicious, with local wine, beer, and more to go with it. The pitches are spacious and flat, and the site is spotless and really well maintained. Facilities were excellent, clean, and well stocked. We had a great welcome when we arrived, and the lovely ladies fitted us in without a booking. There's nothing we could fault. We loved the campsite and the local area, and are really looking forward to coming back next year.

The pool was nice, and there was free access to the municipal pools next door as well. A pleasant path runs along the river, with a small footbridge leading to an island and its nice play area. It's a lovely spot on the river's edge, and the accommodation was clean and functional.

A lovely riverside site with lots of nice little touches, including a small amphitheatre. It's right on the cycle path, and nearby frickenhausen is a real gem. ACSI makes it good value, and the small swimming pool was still open in late September.
