Pension Am Museum

After the youth hostel turned us away rudely, we found a room at this pension instead. It was spacious and clean, breakfast was included, and the staff were super friendly. It cost the same as a youth hostel. Highly recommended!!!

Such a shame for a place with real charm. We’d booked breakfast for our second stay, but after two calls with the operator, we still couldn’t get it because there was nobody in the kitchen. Some parts of the room weren’t clean either, so we checked out straight away. The bill arrived that same day and charged us for breakfast. They corrected it after I explained we hadn’t been able to eat, but there was no apology or personal response, just automated messages. That felt unprofessional and unfriendly.

Check-in was smooth, but the double room I’d booked for €115 had two small single beds that didn’t look inviting. At that price, I expect a double bed, so we decided not to stay. The bill arrived today, and I asked if a discount might be possible since we hadn’t used the room. The reply was a rather unfriendly email full of accusations, asking me to make a proposal. The customer service and booking system really need work.

The guest parking and location were good. The bed was very soft, and breakfast didn’t impress us. We missed having yogurt and fruit, and there was no way to get extra rye bread.
