We drove there, so having free parking was a big plus. Getting to München takes about an hour by car. The hotel has just two floors and another room downstairs, with a cozy, cabin-in-the-woods feel. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and there’s a little room where you can buy wine, beer, and snacks. I stayed for three days and had a pleasant time overall. The rooms were fairly clean, though I missed a few small things like complimentary shampoo and a minibar. It seems suited to solo travelers as well as families.

The simple design of the hotel worked well, and the lovely staff made our stay memorable. One of the best hotels.

Breakfast was a real treat, and the whole place was spotless. Gasthaus Eder also impressed us with its quality furnishings and sustainable choices. The owners and team were warm and exceptionally friendly throughout. We had a fantastic stay in Gmund and are sure to come back. Thank you!

We stayed four days with our baby and dog, and felt at ease from the minute we arrived. The owners welcomed us so warmly and kept that same kindness up the whole time. The house is beautiful, lovingly furnished and decorated, and our room was spotless. Breakfast deserves a special mention: there was everything you could want, including homemade bread, ham, and salmon. Do try dinner at the hotel too. The owner cooks himself and does a great job. You can tell the hotel is run with heart and soul, not just for profit. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we'll definitely return!
