Really excellent.

The huge bathroom, with both a shower and a bathtub, gave everyone plenty of room, and the beds were comfortable. Our ground-floor apartment was spacious, clean, and carefully decorated, with more space than we needed. It also stayed pleasantly cool during the hot weather. There was a bit of a musty smell. Since the street runs right past the building, we had to keep the street-facing bedroom windows shut at night.

The room was spacious and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We stayed one night in December 2022 with our two toddlers and two adults. The food at the restaurant was excellent, and the owner kindly gave us a 10% discount after explaining that the lower booking.com price applied only to multi-night stays, though that condition hadn't been stated on booking.com. The restaurant visit was still disappointing. The staff weren't child-friendly, and their reaction made us uncomfortable even though our children were quiet and weren't disturbing the other guests. When one couldn't sit still any longer, we took turns walking them to the empty back of the restaurant, without blocking the aisles. We decided to skip dessert, and we won't return because of that experience. Breakfast tasted good, but for the price we expected more food or more frequent replenishment. Although we came during the allotted time, only one slice of cooked ham and two slices of Black Forest ham remained. Three tables were still occupied, but nothing was refilled, and there wasn't enough juice for everyone. What we did get to try was good quality, and the staff member, presumably the owner, was very friendly. The overnight stay itself was good, but we didn't feel comfortable as restaurant guests, so unfortunately we won't be back.

The prices are on the high side, but the quality made it worthwhile. I've eaten here twice with friends, and I work in the restaurant business myself. From the amuse-bouche through the other courses, the food felt thoughtfully made and was a real pleasure. The chef even checked that everything was alright. Service was attentive, friendly, polished, and impeccable. The atmosphere had charm while still feeling stylish and classy. Thanks to the whole team, you're doing a fantastic job. I'm doubly impressed!
