Magdalena was a wonderful host, and the Schachen apartment was neat, clean and comfortable, with a great view. The grounds were well cared for too. My wife and I stayed for three days at the beginning of May, and we hope to return. You won’t regret staying here.

We were two adults and five children, and the apartment was spacious, warm and very comfortable. It had everything we needed. The area was quiet, and the windows and balconies looked out over wonderful mountain views, while shops and ski slopes were still close by. There was room to park even a minibus. We definitely recommend it for small or large groups.

We were disappointed by how the sauna was handled. After a long email exchange, the landlord tried to get us to pay for the reservation by bank transfer, even though we’d already paid in full through Booking, and also tried to add breakfast we didn’t need. We eventually got everything explained and the booking confirmed. Then we found there was no sauna available because, we were told, “you are only 2 persons.” We explained that the sauna was listed on the property website and Booking, and was our main reason for choosing the place. The housewife agreed to turn it on for one night as a “present,” but it still wasn’t ready on time. We waited 50 minutes in the sauna while it warmed up. A real disappointment.

We got an upgrade because the place wasn’t full, and the hosts were the nicest ever. The apartment was very nice too.
