Airport Hostel

There’s a huge downstairs area with room for lots of people, and the staff member we spoke with was helpful and answered all our questions. The room size was okay, though the space could have been used better. The bunk beds felt a bit cheap and gave me an unsafe impression, even though they weren’t actually unsafe. The bathroom was fine. The shower was in a separate room beside it, and having to keep pressing a button to keep the water on got annoying. It felt like a budget hostel, though the price was higher than some nearby places. Still, it wasn’t too bad. I’d recommend it if you like the location or just need a quick stop.

At €13.50 per person, it was fairly cheap, and the beds were comfortable, though their metal frames made a lot of noise whenever anyone moved. The hostel is near the airport, so it could work for budget travellers with an early flight from Hamburg. Otherwise, there may be better places to stay. I wasn’t that happy with my stay. The room, especially the carpet, was pretty dirty. The shower wouldn’t turn off after use, and there was only one shower for the six-person dorm, with no alternative available.

For the cheapest hotel in Hamburg, it’s really nice. The rooms are large and clean, the water gets very hot, and shops and the airport are close. There’s a big parking area too. Towels are free, but you have to collect one yourself, and the reception staff are polite. I’d stay again.

For just €15, you get a comfortable bed, free internet, a spacious personal locker, and a bathroom with a free hair dryer, all in a friendly, modern place. There’s also an outlet for everyone in the room. Bring your own towel, hand soap, shampoo, and maybe other toiletries. My bed was unfortunately pretty squeaky.
