The Syrian restaurant next door was very good, I thought, and the staff were helpful and informative. My street-facing room was small but had a seating area and a proper bathroom with a tub. I slept fine, with no trouble from street noise. The bed was fine and the amenities were provided. The bus for downtown sights stops right outside reception. They serve coffee in the morning, so I picked up breakfast at the grocery store three minutes to the right, where a bakery makes fresh sandwiches to order. Parking outside is cramped.

I stayed just one night for a weekend in Hamburg and had a great time. It's a lovely little hotel, close to public transport, with very friendly staff and amazing rooms.

Good restaurants and supermarkets are nearby, and the hotel is in a great spot close to bus stops. It's cozy and does the job, even if you might find better deals elsewhere.

The room felt a little tired, though I suppose that adds to the charm. It's a lovely, quaint boutique hotel, with fascinating architecture and paintings worth taking a closer look at. Well worth a visit.
