The beds were comfortable, the place was clean and nice, and check-in was very easy. We did have to buy hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, and the like ourselves, since none was there when we arrived. It would be nice to have those things available for guests.

The landlady was very friendly, and parking was included. This little holiday apartment is right by University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), and works perfectly for two people, though four would only suit a short stay. There’s a bakery just a few meters away with excellent breakfast options.

Being only a few minutes from the university hospital is a plus, and the landlords are nice. Still, when problems came up, they didn’t seem very willing to admit their mistakes, so I’d only recommend a short stay and would avoid agreeing to a sudden move. I was comfortable in the first apartment, but had to sleep in the front room facing the street because the other bed was broken and never repaired. A few days later, cardboard was put down and Wi-Fi was available. Then, practically overnight, I had to move to another apartment on the same street, in a completely different building. That place had no Wi-Fi and was cold and hard to heat. The living room was right beside the entrance, so there was a draft.

It wasn’t clean for me. There were spiders in every corner, and the floor wasn’t clean either. We stayed three nights over four days and didn’t get fresh towels. The courtyard was apparently being cleaned with a leaf blower, and dirt came in from outside through a window that was supposedly closed. We had to shake out the beds that evening. The apartment is very small, and the stated square meterage has already been questioned several times. It’s okay for two people, but completely unsuitable for four. We didn’t like it at all and would never come back. The owners were very nice, which is the one reason for the star.
