Hotel Mercedes Hamburg

The room was clean and well lit, and the desk service was good. There’s a lift on the second floor, so I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone with a stroller or a wheelchair.

For such a low price, the room was really okay, and I’m satisfied with the stay. The location was good, close to the stops. I don’t understand claims that this is a dangerous area, especially with the police station nearby. The room was quite small and didn’t have a wardrobe, my only complaints. It was very clean, the bed linen and towels were changed daily, and the water pressure was good.

A budget option that’s worth the money. The room was clean and the view from the window was good. The staff were very attentive, maybe too attentive: we asked them not to clean our room, but they did it every day anyway 😅

The buffet breakfast is included in the price. It was decent, with bread, cereal, deli meats, cheese, juice, and coffee. The hotel is just one train stop from central Hamburg, or about a 1.5km walk, though it’s next to a main road and you can hear the traffic. Our room was for three, so there was plenty of space for two. For the affordable price, the room was okay. There’s a thermostat you can control, and a safe for 2€. The showerhead was loose and had to be held while showering. The bathroom itself was roomy, but the toilet was awkwardly tucked into a corner, making it a tight squeeze to sit down and get up. It’s a good choice for a few nights, or even a week, if you’re on a holiday budget or a student wanting to stay near Hamburg’s central hub.
