Hotel Restaurant Kuhberg

I visited for a weekend and found the hotel cozy and almost more like a guesthouse, with a sweet, homey feel. The wooden floors and crossbeams in the room added to that. The couple who run it are super friendly. Everything necessary was there, and the rooms were very clean. I’d book here again!

Breakfast was made fresh and individually each day, and we had no noise issues at all. This is a charming, intimate little family-run hotel, with eight rooms and warm hospitality from all the staff. It’s well placed near Bergedorf town center, Bergedorf Castle, and public transport, including Bergedorf train station. We’d highly recommend it. Thanks for the kind hospitality!

It was remarkably quiet at night, even though this is on the outskirts of Hamburg, right by the pedestrian zone and only a 12-minute walk from the S-Bahn. I didn’t try breakfast, so I can’t really comment on it, but what I saw in the kitchen while it was being prepared looked fantastic. This small family-run hotel felt like visiting friends, and I was made to feel welcome straight away. The rooms are nicely furnished with everything needed for a comfortable stay. There was even a roller blind behind the curtain to block the streetlights, as a previous review had mentioned. Service was excellent, and if you let them know in advance, they’ll leave your room alone and thank you for making things easier on Sunday. Everyone was so friendly and warm that I’d love to return.

The room was small, and the curtain let light in from the streetlamp outside the window. It was a little noisy too. Other than that, everything was fine. I was only there for one night and didn’t have time to try the breakfast, though I’ve heard it’s delicious.
