We felt at ease from the moment we were welcomed so warmly. The room was comfortably set up and, above all, clean. If we’re in Hamburg again, we’d gladly book Pension Martinez once more.

The owners were friendly, and the location was great. It’s a small, clean guesthouse that worked well enough for a short stay and a place to sleep, with Wi-Fi in the room. Breakfast was the letdown: it’s served at 8:30 or 9:00, much too late, and the choice is limited for the price. The portions are quite small too.

The bed was really comfortable, and the prices were reasonable. It’s a lovely, thoughtfully designed guesthouse in a good location, clearly run with a lot of heart. I’d highly recommend it.

The room was in great shape, and the people were lovely. It’s right near the legendary Sankt Pauli district, but still quiet enough for a peaceful night’s sleep.
