Hotel Brielhof

We loved the food here, especially the fresh, colorful salads, schnitzel, and spaetzle. The entrees had lots of variety and were prepared to a very high standard. Service was impeccable at every meal, with attentive, accommodating staff. After five years of dining in Germany, this was the best experience we’ve had. The continental breakfast also had a great spread: boiled eggs, deli meats and cheeses, breads, croissants, pretzels, jams, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, and several teas. We stayed six nights. Our room was spotless and roomy, with a comfortable bed, fridge, large bathroom, and little balcony. The hotel is close to Hohenzollern castle, which made an early visit to beat the crowds easy. It’s in an isolated spot with convenient access to route 27. Traffic noise worried us at first, but didn’t disrupt our sleep or meals. There’s no elevator, though a young member of the hotel family took care of our luggage. Check-in was easy and they were accommodating to our needs. The dining areas were spotless, and the outdoor dining space was comfortable. There are pleasant spots to spend a quiet day. We can’t wait to come back!

We stopped at Hotel Brielhof Restaurant after visiting Hohenzollern Castle, and it made for a lovely meal. My steak was tender and full of flavor, cooked just right at medium, with a crisp Pilsner beer alongside it. The friendly, attentive service added to the experience. A charming place for a meal after the castle.

The food was the best I’ve had in Germany so far, with just the right amount of flavor and not as salty as at other places I’ve tried. The staff were so kind and helped me understand the menu since I don’t speak German. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Hohenzollern castle. The restrooms were clean, and even the toilet paper was cute. They take both card and cash.

The room was huge and the bathroom was really nice. Staff speak English, and breakfast the next morning was good. It’s very close to the castle and a great price. Before I left, I had a nice chat with someone I assume was the owner’s daughter. I’d stay here again.
