Right in the old town, with plenty of daylight and a room that was clean and roomy enough.

In the evenings, we could hear street performers playing beautiful music outside from our room. It felt magical. The room itself was cozy and big enough for us, and breakfast was delicious. The staff were super friendly and helpful, so we had a really great time here. There’s no elevator, though, so pack light if you can.

The place was clean and tidy, and the staff were nice, but getting around with luggage is a challenge. Reception is up a huge staircase, then the rooms are further up more stairs, with no porter and no elevator. Hope you don’t have much to carry. There was no air conditioner or even a fan in the room, and it was very hot on this late spring day. I’d hate to stay here in summer. Also, the “on site parking” is actually a public garage a block away. The towels are bright yellow.

The reception staff are lovely, and parking is off site. The building itself is average, with lots of stairs and slightly wonky floors. There’s no air con or fan, and the only lights were the little bedside ones and a small lamp. My room faced the street, and it was so stuffy that I needed the windows open. Between the rowdy late night party people and machines going up and down the road at all hours, good luck getting any sleep.
