The tram stop nearby makes getting around easy, and the place is really clean and tidy. My room had its own kitchen, coffee maker, kettle and hair dryer. There was no housekeeping, and no air conditioning. July was a bit too hot in the room, though the weather itself was really hot.

We slept well here, and the staff were friendly. The apartment was clean and roomy, and good value, with free parking behind the property. There's a playground right behind the building for kids. Walk about seven minutes and there's a huge wooden one too, where mine spent two hours. The apartment also came with an oven, microwave, stove, washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. Two thumbs up!

At €1100 a month, it felt a bit expensive, and I didn't get my €3000 deposit back. Still, I really liked living there. The neighborhood was quiet with no car traffic, and I felt safe leaving Amazon packages without worrying they'd be stolen. I never saw cockroaches or other insects. The furnished place had parking, which is a luxury in Heidelberg, and was close to the train, tram, pharmacy and supermarket. Wi-Fi was free and good enough for YouTube and working from home, and garbage disposal was free. The landlord was responsive and polite, and the landlord/receptionist even helped me carry heavy furniture upstairs. The doors lock automatically like in a hotel. That's a problem if the receptionist is off that day and you can't get a master key.

The bathroom was spacious, which is about the only good thing I can say about it. The drain smell was impossible to avoid. They may have tried to cover it, judging by the empty perfumed diffuser bottle in the photos and the strong chlorine smell when we arrived. The woman who checked us in was very nice, but said nobody would be around, including when we left and should leave the key. So there'd be no service or help if we needed it. The chairs weren't comfortable, the white sheets had a few stains, which show in the photos too, and the TV didn't work. The soap dispenser was broken. It wasn't expensive, and there was a microwave.
