The view from this lovely holiday apartment takes in the south harbor and dunes, and it was great having access to the Hotel Rickmers garden and other amenities. There was plenty of room, though the bed could have been wider. The balcony chairs were a matter of taste, and looking over the railing felt dangerous. The aluminum coffee capsule wasn't ideal either.

We stayed on Heligoland for 3 nights, from March 27, 2022 - March 30, 2022. The provider moved our booking from a different apartment for operational reasons, which was fine with us since this one is right on the south beach. It was freshly renovated and had a super comfortable couch. The little sink with the glass shelf right above it was a bit fiddly, though that's really nitpicking. Coffee drinkers should bring capsules. There was a basic selection, but Edeka had only one type and very little choice. We checked in at Hotel Rickmers, Am Südstrand 2, where the staff were very friendly and let us store our suitcases.

We were very satisfied. Everyone was really nice and helpful, and the location and apartment were lovely.

We were kindly upgraded to the holiday apartment, which was beautifully furnished and very clean. There were cold drinks in the refrigerator when we arrived, along with a Nespresso machine and capsules, a kettle, and tea bags. The kitchen was fully equipped. At Hotel Rickmers, we got a sparkling wine reception with lots of information and restaurant lists. We also received three free rides on the elevator to the Oberland ski area, plus a small surprise for my boyfriend's birthday.
